World Affairs Council of Western Michigan

The Consular Corps was invited by the World Affairs Council of Western Michigan in Grand Rapids  to attend a luncheon and conversation with Birgitta Tazelaar, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the United States. Ms. Tazelaar spoke about the strength of the business connections between the United States and the Netherlands as well as the European Community. She also addressed the changes towards a broader concept of security with a focus on migration, economic and trade, health, technology and climate policies. An interesting discussion followed about Nato and the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.
