Europe Day

The Consul of Italy in Detroit, Allegra Baistrocchi, organised a celebration of Europe Day at the Michigan State Capital on Thursday, May 8th, marking the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration.

Allegra Baistrocchi, Chair of the European Union in Michigan, and Governor Gretchen Whitmer both spoke in the Speaker's Library about the values of democracy, unity, shared purpose and the importance of collaboration between Europe and Michigan. Members of the Michigan Senate and House attended as well. Governor Whitmer issued a Certificate of Proclamation.
