Macomb County Mixer

The Consular Corps was invited by Macomb County Department of Planning and Economic Development. Their Senior Economic Developer, Curt Chowanic, gave us an overview of the Macomb County  International Landing Zone (ILZ). The ILZ offers tailored business development services for technology based businesses headquartered outside of the United States. He introduced us to Paula MacPherson, Community Engagement Manager of Velocity. Velocity is an incubator center that assists with the acceleration of innovation, reinvention and growth in Macomb County. Jack Johns, the Economic Development Program Director of Macomb introduced us to David Castano, Vice President of Sapa Transmissions, Inc. He shared with us the success story of the expansion of the Spanish Company to Macomb County.
